Zico Playfully Apologizes for Making Dance Challenge a Norm in K-Pop

Zico apologized for pioneering dance challenges in K-pop.

Recently, Zico made a guest appearance on MBC’s ‘Point of Omniscient Interference’.

Acknowledging Zico as a trendsetter in both fashion and music, the panel members highlighted his significant role in popularizing dance challenges, notably through the viral ‘Any Song’ challenge released in 2020.

In a playful manner, Zico remarked, “Lately, I’m getting a lot of blame (from fellow singers).”

Zico explained, “Challenges have become an essential part (of a singer’s promotion). Originally, during breaks, singers rested or practiced in the waiting room. However, these days, during breaks, they have to film challenges with fellow singers and learn each other’s choreography.”

Zico then bowed and apologized, saying, “I’d like to take this opportunity to apologize.”
